My background is mainly in graphic design and production. For five years I managed a graphic design department for an independent print shop, training and directing one other employee. Then I moved on to magazine advertising working with a team of four, producing high volume ads for three magazines a month.
I also gained extensive experience working as a marketing specialist and designer for a large, local non-profit. This position lasted ten years. As the primary marketing contact, I designed and produced all of their marketing materials and managed all advertising. I had numerous duties in this company including, direct mail, data base management, archiving, copywriting short and long articles, fundraising, in-house mailings, event planning, volunteer coordination and support, Facebook contributor, Email coordinator, staff photographer, media contact, managing all print projects and a variety of administrative tasks.
Before I entered the graphic art field I worked as a screen printer for seven years and learned everything from mixing inks, to screen prep, to doing basic art for garments.
I also have drawing skills and paint watercolors.
